Robert Kenner is an American film and television screenwriter, television director, film director, film producer, and television producer. In 2008, Kenner produced and directed the documentary film, Food, Inc., which examines the industrialization of the American food system and its impacts on workers, consumers, and the environment. Variety wrote that Food Inc “does for the supermarket what Jaws did for the beach.”

Josh Fox (born 1972) is an American film director and environmental activist, best known for his Oscar-nominated 2010 documentary, Gasland. In addition to this film, he is one of the most prominent public critics of hydraulic fracturing, also known as fracking. In February 2012 he was arrested during a U.S. House of Representatives subcommittee hearing on hydraulic fracturing when he attempted to videotape the proceedings. Fox graduated from Columbia University in 1995.

Michael Kirk is an award winning documentary filmmaker and partial creator of the PBS show Frontline. He has produced such documentaries as "Inside the Meltdown," about the 2008 financial crisis, "Bush's War," about the Iraq War under George W. Bush, and "The Way the Music Died," about the dire straits of the record industry. Kirk has won every major award in journalism, including the Peabody Award, duPont-Columbia Award, nine Emmys and six Writers Guild of America awards. Mr. Kirk also owns a production company, the Kirk Documentary Group, in Brookline, Massachusetts. Kirk is also a former Nieman Fellow in Journalism at Harvard University.

Danny Schechter is a television producer, independent filmmaker, blogger, and media critic who writes and lectures frequently about the media in the United States and worldwide. He specializes in investigative journalism and producing programming about the interfaces among human rights, journalism, popular music and society. In all, Schechter has reported from 49 countries. He was the recipient of the Society of Professional Journalists' 2001 Award for Excellence in Documentary Journalism.

Jeffrey M. Smith (born 1956) is an American consumer activist, self-published author and politician. He is the author of two books on genetically engineered foods, one of which,Genetic Roulette - The Gamble of Our Lives, he produced as a film in 2012. He has appeared twice on The Dr. Oz Show. Smith has worked with organic food marketers and alternative health product promoters[4] to advocate against genetically modified food. Supporters identify Smith as an influential educator on the risks associated with genetically modified foods, while others point out Smith's lack of scientific background or expertise in the field. In 1998, Smith ran unsuccessfully for Congress as a candidate for the Natural Law Party. Smith is currently the executive director of the Institute for Responsible Technology.
